"I think the Japanese made a big statement in the way they dealt with this whole thing-- that morality is something deeper (than religion)," Maynard said. "It proved the point that religion is not what creates morality in humans--morality is there inside you first, perhaps."

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> About TRIDHARA Tridhara is a pioneering institution which treasurers and upholds the unique style of Late Guru Debaprasad Das (founder father of Odissi dance and also Tridhara). The unique flavor of this gharana stems from the genius of Debaprasad Das, who amalgamated a variety of tribal and folk dance elements with the traditional Odissi. Guru Debaprasad Das, who was well known for his pure and unique style of Odissi dance, was the former professor of Odissi dance in Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneswar. Now his able and efficient disciple Guru Gajendra Kumar Panda is the director of Tridhara, who has spread Guru Debaprasad Nrutya Parampara in national as well as at international levels. Last year in 2011, Tridhara had successfully concluded four tours to Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Europe.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Guru Gajendra Kumar Panda As the foremost torch-bearer of Guru Debaprasad Das’s style of Odissi, Guru Gajendra Panda has been regularly holding workshops on numerous aspects of the dance. He has to be given credit for being the only disciple of Guru Debaprasad Das who has been religiously projecting his gharana’s character through workshop/seminar communication channels. Guru Gajendra Panda came under the tutelage of Guru Debaprasad Das at the tender age of 11. He had already received hands on training in ‘Sakhi Nata’ of the southern district of Ganjam, Odisha, from Guru Raghunatha Purohita and was an “Akhada Pilla” under Guru Bhubaneswar Mishra as well as has worked in Opera and Theatre with Guru Prabhakar Shreechandan. Guru Gajendra’s composition style is refreshingly unique for a variety of reasons, but foremost among them is his masterful use of the ‘Sabda Swara Paata’ which he absorbed, painstakingly and meticulously, from his Guru Debaprasad Das. For all these qualities and for the vigor with which he runs the Tridhara institution, he is known as “the true bhakta of Guru Debaprasad Das.”
